KRING Technologies changes its name to Initto

Press release, Copenhagen, September 26, 2008

The offshore software development company, KRING Technologies, now changes its name to Initto. The name change marks the completion of a two-year strategy process during which the company has strengthened its processes and matured its business culture from Copenhagen to Kiev and Delhi - also a period during which the number of flight tickets purchased for employees has increased five-fold.

Copenhagen, September 26, 2008

Few businesses manage to implement large internal reorganization processes during periods in which the turnover is doubled. Offshore software development company, KRING Technologies, however, has managed to do just this. The key to this success has been extensive focus on process quality, HR, and cooperation. After considerable reorganization of all processes from the clients to the offshore development centers in India and Ukraine, the company now changes its name to 'Initto,' which is a compound of the words: "In IT Together." During the process, employee attrition in the company's global development centers has in two years been reduced from 25 per cent annually to just 9 per cent. At the same time, the number of senior employees has increased from 10 to 25 per cent of the total organization.

"For a software development company working globally, HR and mature processes are the key to success - even when the service offerings are technology. We have acknowledged that communication by email and the Internet can never completely replace direct human contact. People have a need for personal contact regardless of whether employees are located in Denmark, India, or Ukraine. This acknowledgement has meant that we in the past two years have increased the company's purchase of flight tickets five-fold. This has been money well spent, in that we have acquired a much better team spirit throughout the company. We have top class project managers and our developers in India and Ukraine today have a much better understanding of the projects they work on, and thereby also a considerably higher level of commitment to the solutions,"
says Mikael Munck, CEO at Initto A/S.

In keeping with the company's new spirit, the new name was thought up by a Danish employee, and the subsequent logo is designed by an employee in India. The original idea with KRING Technologies was to provide Scandinavian businesses with easy access to the global division of labor and skilled developers in Asia and Eastern Europe. This is still a key objective for Initto.

The new strategy and name is about continuously striving to be cost competitive, but also in particular about delivering top quality. Initto continues to deliver software solutions according to the traditional Offshore Development Centre (ODC) model, but with most assignments, Initto now takes complete responsibility for the projects through a combination of the company's Danish project managers and the global development organization.

"Our company has changed radically over the past two years. And the bottom line of all the changes is better quality and flexibility for our clients as well as a better financial situation for us. Today we solve far more complex, complete, and business critical development assignments than before. Previously, we mostly solved delimited projects, whereas today we enter into long-term strategic collaborations with clients, which can, in a sense, be compared to companies' use of in-house lawyers,"
says Mikael Munck.

As a result of the new strategy, Initto has achieved a level three CMMI-certification (Capability Maturity Model® Integration). CMMI is a tool that assesses the maturity of companies concerned with software- and system development.
