Initto combines SCRUM and CMMi in one unique model
To further build on Initto’s success after our CMMi 3 certification in June 2007, we have decided to take advantage of maturing frameworks in agile software development such as SCRUM. To investigate opportunities to link CMMi and SCRUM, Initto implemented a SCRUM training program for our employees. The training program focused on providing our teams with a solid foundation for working within a SCRUM framework, and the output has been the implementation of a SCRUM CMMi 3 model that aims to deliver working software with predictable high quality in short sprints. This has been achieved by interlocking a select set of CMMi processes to the SCRUM development frameworks.

In collaboration with our clients we have successfully implemented the SCRUM CMMi 3 framework for selected engagements. To ensure that our model continuously evolves with experience, all internal Initto projects will in future be executed under the SCRUM CMMi 3 umbrella.

Initto signs contract with KIApro
 |
Initto A/S has signed a contract to develop a new workflow application for KIApro - a young, research based company with a niche concept in the medical industry that focuses primarily on employee retention. The application will provide functionality to optimize the key business processes between KIApro medical professionals and their clients. The offshore delivery team consists of 4 developers and a tester supported by a Project Manager and a Solution Architect. The team will work under the management of a Danish Global Delivery Manager. The application will be developed in 3 iterations with early visibility of functionality to the client.
As KIApro is a dynamic organization, it has been vital to the success of the project to link the present and future business processes with IT. This goal has been achieved with a 3-week onsite business analysis and requirements gathering phase in which various models were discussed to meet the specific business requirements of KIApro.
