Initto welcomes you to Reflection Forums…
It is our mission to be at the forefront of global innovation by ‘changing the rules of the game.’ To spearhead this process, Initto conducts Reflection Forums aimed at inspiring IT decision-makers to identify opportunities to start changing the traditional rules of the game.
The Reflection Forums are hosted by thought leaders, who have pioneered techniques that have helped transform business. During these sessions they share their opinions, discuss best practices, and challenge us to question the ways in which we do business. We would love it if you could challenge them back!
The year’s first event takes place on 24 February 2009, at 8 am, and the themes for discussion will be:

With more than 15 years experience in the IT industry, Mads is an expert on Lean-Agile Management. Mads will share with us the best practices he has developed when integrating these principles in offshoring development projects executed by his team in Bangladesh.
Combining CMMi - Agile principles with offshore IT development
By Kiran Vas, Initto

Global Delivery Managers for hire
 |
Initto’s definition of a Global Delivery Manager is a specialist, who masters the 3 key disciplines needed to be successful in the delivery of projects using global resources. The disciplines of strong project management and cross border communication skills are generic disciplines that come with experience. The third - and most critical discipline - is what we call “In it together,” where our Global Delivery Managers use their experience and passion for results to help your organization realize the targets for offshore development teams.
Initto Global Delivery Managers have the experience to be brought on board at any stage of an engagement involving our clients and their global delivery organizations.
In light of the present global economic situation we will be happy to assist your organization in achieving successful global delivery. You are very welcome to contact us for further information on the services our Global Delivery Manager can offer your company.

New facilities in India
 |
Initto India has now moved into brand new offices in Delhi. This completes the relocation of all three Initto departments, and means that all our employees now work in premium surroundings with all modern equipment and facilities.
In decorating the new office space in India, we have focused strongly on creating a harmonious and comfortable milieu where employees can carry out their daily work under optimum circumstances, as well as an environment that lets them bond with each other in pleasant surroundings. Much effort has been put into creating color schemes and lighting that supports this, as well as investing in furniture that is both comfortable and ergonomically suitable.
We feel that our new facilities globally are a direct example of the importance we place on employee welfare.

The key to happy employees
 |
One of the key things Initto has focused intensively on over the past couple of years has been how to ensure that our valued employees stay with us. This is a challenge many IT companies face today – especially in India where the IT industry is characterized by high attrition rates.
At Initto, however, our employee statistics for 2008 clearly show that we are doing something right when it comes to keeping our employees with us. In India, for instance, our turnover in the past year was 6%, which is quite significant when considering that some of our competitors experience attrition rates as high as 20%.
The key to our success in keeping employees with us is that we continuously pay attention to their wishes and needs. We have implemented HR procedures throughout our global organization that are designed specifically to retain employees. These HR initiatives include:
- Anonymous employee satisfaction surveys that give us a clear picture of what our employees think can be improved.
- HR discussion meetings where employees can provide input on HR aspects that they feel are relevant to their everyday routines at the company.
- A very low hierarchical structure and an “open door” policy, where everybody are invited to utter their opinions regardless of their position.
- Frequent social gatherings such as anniversary and birthday celebrations, game nights and family days.
All of the above initiatives help us ensure that we have employees who work and get on well both professionally and socially. Ultimately, the fact that we have employees, who are happy working for us means that we are able to deliver services of the highest quality to our clients.
